Plurk Tips and Trics

Plurk Text formating :

Link to a user: Place @ symbol before username with no space between
Example: @username
Bold: Place two asterisks (**) on either side of text to be bold. (don’t place punctuation just before closing **)
Example: **bold text**
Italics: Place a single asterisk (*) on either side of text to be italicized. (don’t place punctuation just before closing *)
Example: *italicized text*
Underline: Place two underscores (__) on either side of text to be underlined. (don’t place punctuation just before closing __
Example: __Underline Text__
Text Link: Enter full URL followed by the text to be displayed in the Plurk.
Example: http://sandaldjepit.com/ (Link to Plurktionary) will display at Link to Plurktionary

Plurk RSS :

Each individual on Plurk has their own RSS feed, it would be possible to follow. The feed will be the user’s page URL with .xml attached to the end. It will look like this:

http://www.plurk.com/user/atpaz.xml

If you are logged in you will see both your own Plurks and your Friends. Once the feed is brought into a feed reader, however only the Plurks of the user will display.

Another RSS option is to use the Feed assigned to a Plurk Page which will include the Original plurk and any replies to that plurk. The feed will be the Plurk’s page URL with .xml attached to the end. It will look like this:

http://plurk.com/p/3mt8.xml

Plurk thru IM :

Supported IM Services: Yahoo, MSN(not working right now), Google Talk, AIM, and Jabber
Turn IM Notifications On by sending message “on”
Turn IM Notifications Off by sending message “off”
Example of a Plurk recieved in IM:
[7] HighDef is plurking the best he can – http://plurk.com/p/3mt8
Respond to this Plurk like this:
@7 This is a response to the *amazing* **incredible** @HighDef
